Zoning and Business Licensing

If you business is not located in a City, but in Will County you will be subject to the Will County rules and in some cases you may also be subject to the planning area of a nearby village or city.  So you need to check with both the County and your nearby City to determine if your proposed occupation is permitted in your desired location.

Home Occupations

Are permitted in most residential zoned areas of the county but are subject to a number of restrictions.  Zoning Code Section 8.22 has the requirements for the various residential zones in Will County
